Biography

An Ohio native, Luke Sheets has been working in clay for over 20 years. After completing his BFA in Ceramics, Luke worked in his own studio creating and firing wood fired pottery. In 2000, he received his MFA in Ceramics from Bowling Green State University. Since that time, he has lived and worked in Middlebury, Vermont --where he served as Resident Potter at Frog Hollow Vermont State Craft Center and taught ceramics for Middlebury College-- and Kanazawa, Japan, where he worked and exhibited independently. In 2005, Luke returned to Ohio where he teaches ceramics, sculpture, and small metals at Ohio Northern University. He continues to exhibit his work at both the national and international level.
